"That's when God put me together."

Tuesday's Grand Connection Thought
by Mary May Larmoyeux

When I was in Washington, D.C.,  for the national March for Life, a speaker said that he had seen his grandson for the first time. He had just seen the child's ultrasound.

The ultrasound of one of our granddaughters once hung on her bedroom wall. I'll never forget her pointing to it a couple of years ago. "See, Nana, that's when God put me together."

I couldn't help but smile. Out of the mouths of babes!

Years ago I heard a woman say that when she knits, every single strand of the yarn is touched by her fingers. She compared that to God knitting each of us in our mother's womb. "You formed my inward parts," says Psalm 139:13-14. "You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

We granmdparents have a wonderful opportunity to affirm to our legacy that God made them perfectly! If you know where an ultrasound picture is of your grandchild, you might just want to snuggle in an overstuffed chair with your legacy and say what my granddaughter told me. That's when God "put you together."

He is able,
Mary

How amazing! Sometimes it's hard to believe God planned our birth and lives before the universe was even formed. What a beautiful thought that He knows us so intimately.

Yep, it's so amazing to think that God not only created us perfectly, but even decided the exact point in time when we would be born.
