Friday's Grand Connection Funby Mary May Larmoyeux
What comes to your mind when I say, "July 4th"? Parades ... watermelon ... going on a family picnic?
I found some recipes and ideas on the Internet that can help us celebrate Independence Day in style. Enjoy!
The History of Independence Day (July 4th)
U.S.A. Stars and Stripes Paper Airplane
"Patriotic Pair" Coloring Page
Patriotic Pops (frozen dessert)
Pound Cake Stars
This is such a simple way to make a great Independence Day dessert!
National Independence Day Parade: The annual National Independence Day Parade will begin on July 4 at 11:45 a.m. in Washington, D.C. We might want to watch this parade on TV with nearby grandchildren. We could call or e-mail long-distance grands and ask them to tell us about their favorite float or marching band. Of course, if you live in Washington, you and the grands could go to the parade together!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mary

I'm with you, Rita! Isn't that an easy, festive idea for dessert on July 4th! - Mary
I'm gonna try the paper airplane. I might even let my grandkids play with my plane, but they might just have to make their own! Ha!
Karen, have fun with your paper airplane. :) It would be fun to make one when the grands make theirs! - Mary
Thanks for empowering my success with my grands!!! No matter if I try these ideas or not...at least I have them to springboard my ideas and efforts. -TNT
